Field update
Sharper edits, clearer command
dWars v0.4.3 · 18 June 2026
The Level Editor gets steadier, battalion focus reads at a glance, and the loadout sliders finally add up.
New
- Place your bases and battalions straight onto the map in the Level Editor — drop a start point and the formation follows your read of the streets.
- Sydney Showground joins the maps you can build a fight on.
- Press
Qto cycle the battlefield overlays — show everything, units only, then supply only.
Changed
- Selecting a battalion now dims the units and formations you didn't pick — both teams — so your focus reads at a glance.
- Battalion markers now draw on top of their units, so a formation never hides behind its own swarm.
- In-game battalion names match the Level Editor — your Charlie stays Charlie, not "Charlie Battalion".
- The loadout slider row is taller, giving you a bigger target to grab.
Fixed
- The Level Editor map preview no longer goes blank in the build — tiered map art now resolves the moment you open a map.
- Loadout sliders redistribute honestly: lower one unit type and the others rise to match — including types sitting at 0% — and the mix always totals 100%.
- Base and battalion placement is no longer mirrored north/south between the editor and the battle.
- Moving a battalion's start point no longer drags its spawn zone along with it.
- A battalion left with no units now reads as destroyed instead of quietly vanishing.
- Mission briefings and the tutorial no longer load blank.
Known issues
- Desktop only for now — mouse and keyboard are required.
- The Level Editor is still a first pass: custom drafts are for play sessions, not saved campaign progression.
